Guided Tour of the Abbey in English

From 13th July to 30th August, 1 guided tour a day (at 16h) is given in English.

The Entrance Fee incluses the 1 hour guided tour of the Abbey and the access to the Gardens all day long.

The meeting point with the guide is inside the Gardens. Please Check In at the reception desk at least 15 minutes before your visit's departure time. It is not possible to join the tour once it has started.

Founded in 1138, Valloires Abbey has had a turbulent history over the centuries. Rebuilt in the 18th century, the contrast is great between the sobriety of its architecture and the Baroque decoration, particularly of the abbey church and the sacristy.
Since the installation of the Valloires Préventorium by Thérèse Papillon in 1922 until today with the reception of children within social structures, the Valloires Association has kept this Abbey alive in the service of children.
Valloires Abbey can only be visited by guide. You will discover the church, the cloister, the sacristy, the chapter house and the large living room (the other spaces are dedicated to welcoming children).
